We provide a non-invasive Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) enabling fully paralyzed patients to communicate independently.

BirgerMind® was established with the objective to help Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Motor Neurone Disease (MND) patients regain their ability to use e-mail, social networks, to generate speech out of text and call for help, to manage contacts and keep track on writings and notes, all by means of flexible ALS-friendly brain-reading headwear. BirgerMind’s hardware and software platform adapts to users’ brain signals by means of custom-tailored machine learning algorithms, and delivers a dedicated user interface, which is intuitive for patients with locked-in state.

The main focus is on ease of use and fast set-up.

Non-invasive technology
Our solution allows it to be used without the need for surgery - the sensors are built into the easy-to-wear and comfortable headgear, and allow the system to be used through the hair.
Quick to learn to use
In our trials, users learn to use BirgerMind® in just a few minutes. There is no need for long and tiring training accompanied by experts - users can learn it on their own.
Convenient software
The device is accompanied by software that is compatible with Windows and Android operating systems (iOS and MacOS software is expected soon). It's intuitive and quick to learn.
Extensive compatibility
BirgerMind® provides connectivity via Bluetooth 5.2 BLE technology, which not only eliminates inconvenient cables, but also provides a wide range of compatible devices.

BirgerMind® makes it easy to use multiple Internet resources to share messages and communicate with other people on social networks such as Meta (Facebook), Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and more.

Thought-to-speech engine

BirgerMind® allows communicating naturally with people around by “speaking aloud”, as well as to read the received e-mails and texts, so that the user's eyes can rest.

Common apps & action shortcuts

BirgerMind® offers shortcuts to frequently used apps. It keeps track on the most important activities and automatically adapts to the user's needs.

Calling for help

BirgerMind® can call for help whenever needed either via "virtual alarm button" or automatically by identifying dangerous situations through brainwave analysis.

Virtual sightseeing

BirgerMind® offers control over virtual tours, which means you can visit museums and world heritage sites directly from home.

Home automation control

BirgerMind® enables maintaining a certain level of control over your surroundings and daily activities via preferred home automation devices, such as Google, Nest, Amazon Alexa and Echo.
